i personally dont going to heaven/hell after death.. i mean if everyone does go to heaven or hell there wouldnt b ghosts n spirits around floating around aimlessly. what i do believe in is karma tho :) what goes around comes around. i've always loved that theory. the reason why i dont believe n heaven/hell n all those religious stuff is coz it can make a person reali narrow minded. i have a friend that is atheist and one of her friend has a strong religious belief. my friend told her she was atheist and her friend couldnt believe it. and the convo ended with "you are going to hell." just because you believe in god doesnt mean u go to heaven and just because you dont believe in god's existence doesnt mean u r definitely going to hell. u can be evil and believe in god @ the same time. -v -",,

i guess it makes no difference knowing if u would die and hv an afterlife or u'll just b frozen in time. coz either way you wont know what would happen after death (( i guess. coz im nt dead yet xP)) probably it would b like a whole new life. :DD

That's a religious topic. Many people believe in Heaven or Hell simply because of their religions, while other don't.

You can't debate which religion is better, because that would be discrimination.

I personally believe that it depends on both your choice, and if you have all your earthly duties done. If you leave something incomplete that, if you weren't dead, it would have kept you up all night, or if your intertwined in someone's destiny in a way that death can't even interfere with it, then you become a spirit until your earthly duties are done. If you have nothing holding you to the earth, you're faced with a decision. You can either be reincarnated into another person, if you either want another chance at life or want to help someone else get through it, or you can simply go to heaven. I also believe that there is no hell. Being a spirit can also be a punishment, since being stuck on earth for the rest of eternity can be really suckish if you know you're never destined for happiness, or if you don't know what your destiny is. How kind or mean you were, or if you belived in God, only counts when it comes to heaven. I've spoken with both evil and good spirits and past lives.

By the way, pr3cari0us, who ever said religious people can't be openminded?

i never said ALL religious people arnt open minded. im just saying that there is a possibility that one can become narrow minded because of their belief. ofcourse that depends on the person. how faithful they are to their religion, how much they believe in what they learn from that religion, can they accept other religious point of view or other's opinons etcetc.
dont get me wrong i hv nothing against religious people. my parents r religious, some of my friends are religious. its just that alot of problems in history are actually caused by religious beliefs. i do try to think on both sides of a scenario. i just gave an example of my friend's experiance because it just popped out of my mind and i didnt just make that up. sorry if it made u uncomfortable. =\

I believe in an after life but I don't know how it goes down, I do think there is a "Light" and "Dark" and I think it is pretty much affected by our emotions~

I believe there could be more than there is now, but maybe it's not as different as we think it is. So many things have happened over time that science took a long time to explain, or still hasn't explained, why not a few more mysteries?
I don't believe in a good or evil side to it though, no eternal damnation, maybe a place we go to with our own subconscious if we think we need to be punished, because science is now showing how our thoughts and emotions affect our reality, to an extent (like if you give up it will take a lot longer to heal than if you stay optimistic.).

Hmmm.

My personal view is that... If its there it is and if it isn't it isn't.

Oh, okay. I was just curious why you felt that way. I don't think religion has anything to do with being closed minded. There are closed minded atheist, too, aren't there?
