Character of the Month (CotM) is an art contest thread hosted by my OC hangout [qυιℓℓ & cαиvαs]. At the beginning of each month, an OC will chosen to become the CotM and will have art drawn of them in exchange for a chance to win prizes. :)

-The contest begins May 01, 2011 and ends May 25th, 2011 (PST). -You may enter as many artworks as you like; however, I'm going to stress on quality over quantity. -Submit your artworks in this thread, please. Don't PM them to me. -All images wider than 500 pixels or with a height over 600 pixels should be linked to, rather than posted directly. -I love seeing line arts and WIPs, so feel free to post them here. :) -If you have any questions you may post them here in the thread or PM me. (If the questions are about the characters, it might be better to just post them here or PM the OC's owner.)

-Though anyone can submit art for CotM's contest, only the members of the [qυιℓℓ & cαиvαs] hangout may have their OCs selected to become CotM. -To have your character selected, you must have at least one member point (MP), and you must fill out a form prior to the time the next month's CotM is selected. -All members who have submitted this form will then be put in a raffle where one of their characters is selected. The character who is selected becomes CotM; however, the owner of said character may not enter the raffle again for the next two months (in order to give everyone else a chance.) 1 MP is deducted from the owner of the CotM. -You must also have a minimum 3-5k or 3-5k worth of items for the prize/s. -If you have additional points, you can exchange them for prize money. Each point is worth 500FPs and may be exchanged for up to 3-5k worth of prize money for each contest. If you put in 3k for the contest, then you may only exchange it for up to 3k worth of prizes (4k for 4k, etc.)
-Please provide at least one decent waist-up reference for your OC when submitting them for the CotM raffle. If you would like full-body pictures, you must provide a full-body reference. If you would like color, you must provide a colored reference. No profile shots (side views). -I'll leave it to the CotM's owner to distribute the prizes and decide on the winners, but the first prize has to have a minimum value of 3k. Other prizes are optional. -Please notify me if you don't think you can distribute the prizes/choose the members by the time the contest ends. I will decide on the winners and do what I can about the prizes myself if a week has passed without word for the CotM's owner. -The contests lasts for 25 days; the last five-ish days are for the CotM's owner to decide on the winner and distribute the prizes. It will also be used for me to prepare for the next CotM. -The contests will not be extended. (This is to keep the contests moving.) -Every member who submits a finished entry to the contest will be awarded 2MP. -I will try to enter every contest myself. If I can't make it, you can always take an IOU from me. XD;
