I prefer to watch subbed, but I do want to get into voice acting, and, because of my music background and natural rhythm, I'm pretty good at dubbing (took a few classes).

Usually, though, I don't MIND dubbed, unless it's really bad (and I've seen some bad ones).

I HATE the german voices, they don´t fit with the chars. So i watch only the subbed animes. (The japanese voices are so cute ^-^)

For me, it depends on the show and what I am doing at the time. I used to watch anime while working on school projects, so I would want them dubbed so I could know what was going on without having to watch every second. Not all dubs are bad, and sometimes I prefer the dubs over the original Japanese voice actors. And sometimes the subtitles are very badly done, especially on fan sites. But I do enjoy subs if I want the authentic Japanese, since often phrases are mistranslated when dubbed into English.

For the most part, subbed, but there are a few dubs that are very good. For example RomeoxJuliet. While this show is beautiful in both Japanese and English, the English dub has the upper hand. Simply because the original play was written by Shakespeare in Shakespearean English, something that doesn't translate very well in Japanese. The anime uses this to it's full advantage and the show is riddled with beautiful lines that help portray the emotions and beauty of the story.

Personally, there are a few dubs that I find better than the original Japanese simply because I grew up hear it. For example, I like the dubbed version of Sailor Moon a lot more than I liked the subbed version of it. I mean, Serena vs Usagi-chan? Doesn't Serena sound a lot better (and more princess like) that Usagi-chan (which means bunny in Japanese by the way)? Or Slayers? I love all of the voice acting for the characters of Slayers (the only exception being Zelgadis and his sudden voice actor change inbetween the first few episode in the first season). Lina sounds mature and knowledgeable in the English dub, but a little whiny and younger than her 16(?) years of age in the Japanese sub.

I'll admit that there were a lot of dubbing mistakes (One Piece and Pokemon cover that) but you shouldn't just write dubbing off as a lost cause.

While I usually prefer subbed, there are some cases where I prefer the dubbed version.
Case Closed for example, because Rachel's voice sounds obnoxious in the subbed version, and Moore's voice sounds too cool for someone who's not that bright.
Also, Hetalia I prefer the dubbed just because I think the accents are more pronounced, and you can tell who is talking just from that.

I usually prefer subs over dubs, but mostly because I'm more used to them.

And also because I usually get more feelings from the Japanese voices, I have already cried from the tone of their voices alone. It never happened with dubs

I prefer subs. When I hear anime in dutch, it makes me almost cry. It just makes my ears bleed most of the time.
In Japan it just is all very strict with the voice acting. They have special schools for it and it is really hard work. In a lot of countries they are very easy going about it and if you can talk, then you can voice act. It's as simple as that.
So yeah, because of subs my english have improved a LOT. So I'm actually quite grateful for that.

I prefer subbed, generally --hard to find anything good that's subbed (though Wolf's Rain and FMA did a good job).

My friend likes Dragon Ball Z dubbed though. I don't remember hearing it in original Japanese.

Subbed - I think I didn't ever hear good dubing in the anime. They are awful, emotionless and usually voice doesn't match the characters :/
