Has anyone else read/seen this series? I just started in on the anime today, and it's been pretty interesting. There's violence and shounen-ai undertones, just to tell you before you start looking it up. XD
I've read a couple chapters of the manga. I thought it was pretty interesting. The characters are really cute, not Sebastian or the Count (though they are awesome too), but the Gardener, Maid, and Cook. They happen to be my absolute favorites~

It lacks the depth that would change it from being a good anime to a great anime. At the same time, it focuses too much on eye candy (not that I'm complaining, really), and its characters seem too... simple. Not ignorant simple, but not realistic; they don't have real thoughts, and they sometimes seem to be able to predict impossible things (not talking about Sebastian). Also, what about flaws? Even if they don't have physical handicaps (as in the case of Sebastian), shouldn't they possess qualities that make them more real, that kinda puts them just below the notch of perfection?
I just find it a real shame that the creator of this series didn't put more effort into it (though "amazing" doesn't seem to be what she was going for, anyways). I still like the anime, and I still think the costumes are awesome, but when I get to thinking about stuff like this, I'm left unsatisfied.
One of my current personal favorites, although I stopped watching the anime at episode 14 [Can't be bothered with Anime at the minute] Although I find myself counting the days as it grows closer to the Manga Chapter release.
Soma is my favorite actually... No I'll say second Favorite xD Ciel is my Favorite. Joker [Manga~] is awesome too.
I also love John in the manga xD The anime one is completely different.
